A covered, elevated place to watch the floats in full, with a welcome kit, live music, private restrooms and food and drink service. From the weekend plan up, every plan includes the Batalla de Flores with Oro Experience on Vía 40, at the venue the Carnival organization confirms.

No. The organization does not allow outside food or drink into the events. That is why the hydration and food service during the event is arranged by us and already included.

Yes. The minimum age at the Vía 40 parades is 7. The night events, coronation, Moy's a la Calle, Baila la Calle and Noche del Río, are for over-18s only.

Once your Carnival services are confirmed they are date-specific and cannot be refunded or transferred, so we recommend settling your dates before we confirm anything. This is without prejudice to the right of withdrawal under article 47 of Colombia’s Law 1480 of 2011, where it applies.

It depends on how many days you have. Coronación is Friday night only: the gala night, no hotel nights. The short weekend adds the Batalla de Flores and one night at Hotel El Prado. The classic Carnival adds the private event at El Prado and two nights. The full Carnival carries everything, with Kilimanjaro and Moy's and three nights. It is the window in which the published prices hold, through November 15, 2026: today, from USD 1,178 for a 2-guest plan, without flights. You book with a 50% deposit, which locks in the price you see. Two more stages follow: Phase 2, from November 16 to December 20, with prices rising in steps, and the regular sale from December 21 to January 22 at the full rate. It is not a commercial tactic of ours: prices rise in phases as February approaches.

There are three. Presale Phase 1, through November 15, 2026: the prices published on this page, locked in with a 50% deposit. Presale Phase 2, from November 16 to December 20: prices rise in stages. Regular sale, from December 21, 2026 to January 22, 2027: the full rate, subject to whatever spots remain. Prices rise in phases as February approaches; booking early is the only way to secure the Phase 1 price.

No, and that is deliberate. The Carnival draws travelers from Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Miami, Panama City, Madrid and Milan, and every route carries a very different fare. Averaging them into the price would make some people overpay. We prefer what you see published to be exactly what you receive on the ground, and to quote your flight separately from your real point of origin. We issue it and manage it for you.

The published prices are the total for a 2-guest plan in a shared group: you travel with other CocoVolare guests, with the same Oro Experience, hotel and host. The group is confirmed once the minimum headcount is reached; if it is not, we offer a switch to a private group or a refund of the deposit. If you would rather travel on your own from the start, we also quote private groups: write to us and we come back with the exact figure.

It is the total for a 2-guest plan on a shared departure, taxes included and flights excluded: the Oro Experience, the events in your plan, chauffeured transfers, host, kit and insurance, and the hotel nights when the plan carries them. The only thing quoted separately is the flight, from your departure city.

Yes, and well in advance. High-category hotel stock in Barranquilla is limited and Carnival week fills almost entirely. Places per departure are limited by design. Booking early is the only way to secure your place and hotel together.

You book with a 50% deposit and settle the balance by November 15, 2026 in Phase 1. Invoicing is in Colombian pesos; equivalents in other currencies are for reference. We send you the payment schedule and the policies in writing before you transfer anything.

We do not sell event entry on its own: it comes inside a plan, with transfers, host and logistics handled. The Batalla de Flores with Oro Experience starts with the weekend plan: $2,058 USD (≈ COP $5.520.000) total for 2 guests in the no-hotel variant; with one night at Hotel El Prado the short weekend is $3,258 USD. If you want the Red Carpet Experience, we quote the upgrade.

February is dry season on the Colombian Caribbean, with highs around 32 to 33 degrees and strong trade winds. The three parades are daytime and outdoors. Pack light cotton or linen, comfortable closed shoes, a cap or hat, sunglasses and high-factor sunscreen. Hydration at the parades is on us. For the nights, something dressier: the coronation has a black-tie code.

The Carnival gathers hundreds of thousands of people and the city deploys a special operation. Our setup exists for exactly that: private door-to-door transfers, no public transport and no long walks through crowds, event access handled for you and a host at your side. As at any mass event, carry the bare minimum and leave documents and valuables in the hotel safe.

For children, with one formal condition: the minimum age at the parades is 7. Night events are for over-18s only. For older adults, the factors to weigh are the heat and the hours outdoors; private transfers and your secured place makes the difference. Tell us who is traveling and we adjust the pace.

You do not get around alone. Every transfer is included and private, door to door: airport to hotel, hotel to each event and back. During Carnival there are major road closures on Vía 40 and Carrera 50, and travel times multiply. Your host handles that logistics.

It depends on your nationality. Most passports from Latin America, the United States, Canada and the European Union enter Colombia visa-free as tourists. Check your case in the official source airlines use, or with the Colombian consulate in your country, before booking. If you need an invitation letter or proof of booking for your application, we issue it.

It is not compulsory, but it is part of the fun. Every plan includes the Carnival kit; if you want a professional costume and make-up session for the Batalla de Flores or the night events, we add it when you request your quote. At the Carnival nobody looks at you strangely for being in costume; they look at you strangely for not being.

February is peak dry season, so the odds are low. If the organization reschedules or cancels an event for reasons beyond its control, our team reworks the itinerary on the spot and proposes the best available alternative. Events are governed by the Carnival organization’s policies, which we share with you in writing when you book.

The airport is Ernesto Cortissoz (BAQ), about 30 minutes from the hotel district. There are direct flights from Bogotá, Medellín and Miami, among others. All our plans include chauffeured transfers; flights are quoted separately from your departure city.

In the El Prado district, Barranquilla’s stately quarter: close to the events and home to the city’s best hotels. Our plans optionally include Hotel El Prado, the district’s historic hotel, with breakfast. The city fills up on those dates, so it pays to lock in a room months ahead.

It is the Carnival’s night for dancers. Moy's a la Calle runs on Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 p.m. with merengue, salsa and vallenato bills that in recent editions have brought Andy Montañez, Fruko y sus Tesos, José Alberto "El Canario", Hansel y Raúl, Sergio Vargas, Iván Villazón, Peter Manjarrés and Juan Piña. We choose it over other nights because the line-up is a level above and the room is full of people who know how to dance. If you prefer Baila la Calle, we add it as an option.

Salwa Maloof Habib, a 24-year-old barranquillera chosen on August 21, 2026 by the Carnival board. She holds a degree in International Relations from IE University in Madrid, runs the Clínica La Misericordia Internacional and is CEO of the Fundación Fulamic. She has danced since childhood and belongs to the cumbiamba La Misma Vaina. You can follow her on Instagram at @salwamaloof. The city’s first lady announced that this edition will be marked by solidarity with the regions of the country hit by the 2026 earthquake.

Yes: the 2027 Rey Momo is Abraham Cáceres Julio, named on September 12, 2026, together with the rest of the Carnival royals at the Gran Malecón. He is the founder and director of the mapalé group Bambazú, with Palenque roots, and his appointment honors the drum and decades of bringing mapalé to the Carnival. Queen and Rey Momo lead the four days of the party together.

Yes, and it is the most natural extension. Cartagena is about two hours away by road and Santa Marta a little further. After four days of Carnival, two or three calm Caribbean nights close the trip beautifully. We also build extensions to Tayrona, Palomino or Minca.
