The night when Carnival awakens officially. Under a grand gala setting, the Queen and King Momo of the celebration are proclaimed in a grand spectacle of music, staging and lights. An entire city holds its breath until the first chord sounds, and from that instant, it never stops.
The most emblematic parade of Carnival and one of Latin America's largest. Monumental floats decorated with flowers, queens throwing petals to the crowd, groups of hundreds of dancers and a human river that crosses Vía 40 for hours. It's sensory, it's physical, and it's unforgettable.

It recognizes centuries of cultural mestizaje, indigenous, African and European, transformed into dances, music and unique characters like marimondas, congos, negritas puloy and little bulls, passed down generation to generation within traditional Carnival families.
Official Carnival is celebrated the four days before Ash Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, which for 2027 will fall in early February.
