Asia Honeymoon

Thailand and the Maldives: golden temples, the karsts of Phang Nga and an overwater villa.

The essence

From golden temples to the Indian Ocean

Asia delivers two honeymoons in a single trip: one intense, full of color and spice, and one of absolute silence above a lagoon. This route opens in Bangkok, heads north to Chiang Mai among teak temples and an ethical elephant sanctuary, crosses to the Andaman to sail between the karsts of Phang Nga, and closes in the Maldives with an overwater villa and a reef three strokes away.

The sequence matters: Thailand asks for curiosity and the Maldives for stillness, so the trip winds down toward total rest. We handle domestic flights, the seaplane to your atoll, private transfers and reservations at the restaurants that fill months ahead.

What we would tell a friend

Advice from our travel designers: what we book first, what we avoid, and the details that turn a good trip into an unforgettable one.

01

Fly into Bangkok and out of Malé

An open-jaw ticket saves an entire leg and two travel days. We always quote it this way.

02

Save the Maldives for last

Thailand asks for energy and the Maldives gives it back. In that order the trip feels twice as long.

03

Choose sanctuaries with no elephant riding

We work only with ethical sanctuaries where animals never carry people or perform.

04

Book the seaplane in daylight

Maldivian seaplanes operate only during daylight. If your international flight lands at night, a night in Malé is added.

05

Pack clothing that covers shoulders and knees

Thai temples require it. One light piece in your daypack solves the whole day.

06

Confirm your Maldives meal plan

Half board versus all inclusive changes the final budget significantly on the atolls. We detail it in the proposal.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time for Thailand and the Maldives?

From November to April both destinations are in dry season, the ideal window. May and October work well with lower rates and brief afternoon rain. June to September brings monsoon to the Andaman, and the route shifts toward the Gulf of Thailand.

How much does this honeymoon cost?

The 14 to 16 day route starts at USD 6,400 per person in double occupancy and includes accommodation, domestic flights, seaplane, private transfers and the listed experiences. International flights are quoted separately.

Can we swap the Maldives for another island?

Yes. Bali, Sri Lanka or the Seychelles work as alternative finales, each with its own character and budget. We evaluate it with you in the proposal.

What is the minimum number of days?

Twelve days cover Bangkok, the south and the Maldives at a good pace. With fifteen you add Chiang Mai without rushing, which is the version we recommend.

What documents do we need?

Entry requirements depend on your nationality and change often. The source airlines check is the IATA Travel Centre, where you can verify your exact case before buying tickets.
