The essence

From the marble of Athens to the blue of the Aegean

Greece has topped honeymoon lists for decades, and the Virtuoso Luxe Report 2026 places it in the global top 3. This route opens in Athens with the Acropolis almost to yourselves, continues to Santorini to live the caldera from a suite carved into the cliff, and closes in Milos, a Cycladic island of volcanic coves and fishing villages where the Aegean recovers its calm.

The sequence matters: Athens opens with history and city life, Santorini concentrates the spectacle, and Milos winds everything down toward total rest. We handle the domestic flight to Santorini, the ferries between islands, private transfers and the caldera-view tables that sell out months ahead.

What we would tell a friend

Advice from our travel designers: what we book first, what we avoid, and the details that turn a good trip into an unforgettable one.

01

Fly into Athens and out of Santorini

An open-jaw ticket saves the return to the mainland and a full travel day. We always quote it this way.

02

Book your caldera suite months ahead

Oia and Imerovigli sell out their best suites half a year before summer. The earlier you confirm, the better the view and the rate.

03

Choose May-June or September-October

The sea is warm, the light lasts into the evening and the villages can be walked without lines. July and August add heat and crowds.

04

Combine a domestic flight with the ferry

Athens to Santorini takes 45 minutes by air, and Santorini to Milos about two hours by fast ferry. We coordinate schedules and seats.

05

Save Milos for last

Santorini asks for activity and Milos gives it back in calm. In that order the honeymoon closes in full rest mode.

06

Pack footwear for the volcanic coves

Sarakiniko and the rocky beaches call for water sandals. One light pair in your daypack covers every swim.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time for a Greece honeymoon?

May to June and September to October: warm seas, long days and quiet islands. July and August concentrate the peak of heat, prices and crowds. April and November work as shoulder season, with lower rates and cooler water.

How much does this honeymoon cost?

The 10 to 12 day route starts at USD 3,900 per person in double occupancy and includes accommodation, the domestic flight, ferries, private transfers and the listed experiences. International flights are quoted separately.

Mykonos stands out for its nightlife, beach clubs and social scene. Milos offers volcanic coves, fishing villages and silence, the close that suits best after the intensity of Santorini. Both fit the route and we evaluate it with you in the proposal.

Ferry or flight between the islands?

From Athens to Santorini the 45-minute flight is the smart move, saving around five hours at sea. Between Santorini and Milos the fast ferry takes about two hours and is the natural option. We book premium seats and coordinate port transfers.

What documents do we need?

Entry requirements depend on your nationality and change often. The source airlines check is the IATA Travel Centre, where you can verify your exact case before buying tickets.
