Weddings and Honeymoons

Three honeymoons in one: the Aegean, la dolce vita and a villa above the water.

The essence

The trip you'll tell for the rest of your lives

A honeymoon should never have to choose between the Santorini caldera, a Tuscan dinner under cypress trees or waking up above a turquoise lagoon. This route doesn't choose, it links them. It opens on the Aegean, where Oia's sunsets seem rehearsed just for the two of you; continues in Italy, which turned romance into a national discipline between Rome and the Chianti hills; and closes in the Maldives, where an overwater villa shrinks the world down to two people, a private deck and a reef three strokes away.

The secret is the tempo: the journey slows down as it goes. Greece and Italy are lived with curiosity (private boats, reserved trattorias, a discreet photographer if you wish) while the Maldives are lived horizontally. We handle the invisible: smooth connections, late check-outs, newlywed amenities at every hotel and a concierge who has already told everyone that you two are arriving fresh from celebrating what matters.

The caldera for two · Weddings and Honeymoons 01 · Santorini

3 nights

The caldera for two

Santorini, Greece

A suite carved into the caldera with a private pool facing the volcano: that is how the honeymoon begins. A sunset catamaran with a swim in thermal springs, dinner in Oia once the crowds have left, and a morning among Assyrtiko vines planted in volcanic ash. Santorini has a reputation for crowds; our version sidesteps them with clever timing and corners that still belong to the islanders.

Highlights
Suite with private pool over the caldera · Private sunset catamaran · Assyrtiko tasting in a volcanic vineyard · Sunrise photo session in Oia
The secret Cyclades · Weddings and Honeymoons 02 · Milos

2 nights

The secret Cyclades

Milos, Greece

An hour away by ferry, Milos is the Cycladic island the Greeks keep for themselves. Coasts of white sculpted rock like a lunar stage set, coves reachable only by boat, and fishing villages with painted doors where dinner is served a few metres from the water. Two nights of deliberate pause between the trip's two big names: there is nothing to see here, and that is precisely the point.

Highlights
Sarakiniko, the lunar coastline · Boat loop past inaccessible coves · Waterside dinner in a fishing village
Rome, the Italian prelude · Weddings and Honeymoons 03 · Rome

2 nights

Rome, the Italian prelude

Rome, Italy

Two Roman nights as the journey's hinge: the Vatican before opening or the Colosseum without queues, a sunset walk as the domes light up, and dinner on a terrace above the rooftops of the centro storico. Rome knows how to be intimate when someone asks for the right keys. Our guide (a historian, not a reciter) opens it through doors that never appear in search results.

Highlights
Vatican or Colosseum with privileged access · Rooftop dinner above the centro storico · Private sunset walk through Trastevere
Tuscany: hills and wine · Weddings and Honeymoons 04 · Tuscany

3 nights

Tuscany: hills and wine

Florence and Chianti, Italy

A villa or converted monastery among the hills, with Florence a chauffeured ride away. Mornings of the Uffizi and the David without queues, afternoons of medieval villages and family-run Chianti wineries where lunch stretches on guilt-free, plus the option of renewing your vows in a Renaissance garden if the wedding happened far from home. Tuscany is Italy's slow chapter, which is why newlyweds love it most.

Highlights
Boutique villa among the vineyards · Uffizi and the David with a private guide · Long lunch at a Chianti winery · Vow renewal in a Renaissance garden (optional)
The villa above the water · Weddings and Honeymoons 05 · Maldives

4 nights

The villa above the water

Maldivian atolls, Maldives

The grand finale has no itinerary. A seaplane over atolls that look painted on, an overwater villa with an infinity pool and steps straight into the lagoon, and four days in which the only serious decision is breakfast in the villa or on the sandbank. Snorkelling on the house reef, an overwater spa, a private dinner on a deserted island and that expensive silence that only exists in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

Highlights
Overwater villa with private pool · Private sandbank dinner · Snorkelling on the house reef · Couples' spa above the lagoon

What we would tell a friend

Advice from our travel designers: what we book first, what we avoid, and the details that turn a good trip into an unforgettable one.

01

Leave a buffer day after the wedding

We recommend flying one or two days after the celebration: you arrive at the Aegean rested and the trip starts free of the wedding's logistical hangover.

02

June and September, the wise months

The same sea and the same light as August, with half the visitors in Santorini and better Maldives rates. If your dates allow, they are always our first suggestion.

03

The seaplane rules the Maldives

Resort transfers only operate in daylight. We schedule your international flight to avoid transit nights in Malé, the detail that ruins more honeymoons than any other.

04

Pack for two climates

Linen and light layers for the Aegean and Tuscany; in the Maldives almost everything is unnecessary. Resorts offer laundry: travelling lighter is travelling better.

05

A photographer, yes, a discreet one

A one-hour sunrise session in Oia or among Tuscan vines delivers more than a photographer trailing you for a week. We work with local professionals with an editorial eye.

06

Always say it's your honeymoon

Hotels in the Aegean, Italy and the Maldives have generous newlywed protocols: room upgrades, decoration and thoughtful touches. Our concierge flags it on every booking.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you organise the wedding itself or only the honeymoon?

Both. We coordinate symbolic weddings and vow renewals in Santorini and Tuscany with celebrant, flowers, photographer and private dinner. Legally binding weddings require extra paperwork, which we also manage.

Isn't this too much moving around for a honeymoon?

The route is built on a descending tempo: Greece and Italy with à-la-carte activities, the Maldives as total rest. Three main transfers in fifteen days, all solved door to door.

Can we swap the Maldives for another island?

Of course: Bali, Mauritius or the Seychelles work as a finale with similar flight logic. The Maldives remain our recommendation for the Istanbul or Doha connection and the overwater experience.

What documents do we need?

On a Colombian passport, Greece and Italy require a Schengen visa and the Maldives grant a free visa on arrival. We support your Schengen appointment with the itinerary letter and confirmed bookings.

How do transfers between countries work?

Ferry or short flight between Greek islands, a direct Athens-Rome flight, high-speed train from Rome to Florence and a one-stop flight to Malé. Every connection includes a private driver at both ends.
